SPECIAL NOTICE

We are faced with a number of challenges in these times. In order to keep our volunteers safe and healthy and to comply with the Governor's executive orders and the recommendations of the CDC, we are implementing the following temporary procedures:

We are still accepting applications and doing the basic processing with the exception of physical home inspections. We will be asking for pictures, FaceTime or videos of homes. Most of our dogs cannot be spayed/neutered during this time. There will be no meet & greets until it is deemed safe and no dogs will be released for adoption at this time.

We cannot take in dogs during this time unless there is no other option available. We are aware of dogs in shelters but many shelters have closed their intake department with no way to pull a dog.

We appreciate your understanding as we travel through these difficult times.

Hello - My Name's Derek

Age: 3 yrs
Sex: Male
Size: 26-30 Pounds
Breed: cocker spaniel
CCRID#: 1300

Just the Facts
Derek is about 5 -6 years old and was dumped at a high kill shelter. His owner's claimed that they were moving and not able to take him. He did not understand why he was left in a noisy shelter but he seems to be adjusting better now that he is out. He loves other dogs as he currently runs with other dogs at doggy day care. Derek came into rescue weighing about 41 pounds but has successfully trimmed down to a svelt 29 pounds!!!!! Update 6/11/12: Derek is in a foster home now so you can call Barb at 614-554-1300 for more information on Derek. He will take a cocker savy person/family to handle Derek. His adoption fee is $200./B
