Hello - My Name's ABBIE Indy 8/17/18

Age: 10-11 years old
Sex: Female
Size: 21-25 Pounds
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 1881
Just the Facts
9/27/17 Abbie returned to the animal hospital with worsening heart failure. She is now considered a hospice case. 9/12/17 Abbie has developed congestive heart failure with an increase in her heart murmur, so she will become a permanent foster :-(. Her foster parents, Suzette and Kevin, continue to open their hearts and their home to her and welcome the opportunity to care for her. 8/5/17 Abbie is such a doll!! She does well with everyone she meets. She loves to cuddle and be part of the activity of the house. 3/7/17 Abbie went on home trial but because of her medical issues requiring daily medications, the adopter decided it was too much for him to handle. She is quite the busy-body but enjoys being everyone most of the time. She will go off by herself and just watch activities!!! Would be great for a senior citizen.... 12/29/16 During Abbie's examination, she was noted to have a bladder mass on Ultrasound. She has since had removal of this mass and it was benign - non-cancerous!!!!! Yeah!!!!! She does have dry eye that will require medication for life and her skin and ear infection are improving. The rescue will cover its associated costs until resolution. Abbie is a very active little girl who would love to have her very own family!!!! Please complete an online application if interested in adopting her.

11/19/16 OS from Shelbeyville, IN - 94 y/o living with daughter who can't handle Mom and her dog; other family members are unable to take Abbie either. She does have dry eye, a heart murmur which is non-symptomatic and a mild skin infection. Abbie is a very nice girl who gets along with everyone so far although the foster doesn't have children. She is currently on a diet to help lose some weight ! Won't you consider giving her a furever retirement home?
