Your Donation REALLY DOES HELP!

SPECIAL NOTICE - Updated 6/12/20

Ohio has opened back up and adoptions have begun. We are working through the many applications that were in a holding pattern during the Governor's executive order as well as working through the new applications arriving daily. As the threat of this virus still exists, we are implementing the following procedures:

We will limit the number of physical home inspections and may request virtual inspections via pictures, FaceTime or videos.

There may be no public adoption events for the remainder of 2020. These have been the only opportunity to meet our dogs without submitting an application and becoming approved. If they do resume again, there will be safety measures in place that must be followed.

We will conduct private meet & greets only with approved applications and at the place of our choosing. We request that all people at the meet and greet wear a mask for the protection of our volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding of the 'new normal'.

Hello - My Name's Nilla

Age: 3-4 YO
Sex: Female
Size:
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 2030

Just the Facts
12/6/2019 Moved to "Adopted" - she is staying with Barb 9/5/19 Nilla is making progress with her social skills. She gets severely stressed though if crated or if she can’t find her person. That being said, she travels well and house training is progressing well. She likes to play so another playmate is required as well as a physically fenced yard. Feel free to call Barb st 614-554-1300 to discuss her. 7/30/19 Nilla is a true puppy mill dog...... loves attention but knows nothing !!! She will require an adopter with puppy mill experience, a physically fenced yard and at least one other dog to help her learn !!!! we have discovered she has dual disabilities - severely diminished vision and totally deaf. Some of her behaviors will take months to correct (like housetraining), so a patient and understanding adopter is required./Barb 7/12/2019 - Nilla came to us from a Puppy mill. She is a small cocker estimated age is 3-4 years old. We believe she has some vision loss (diminished or blind). Not likely housetrained or crate-trained so we will be working on this with her. A securely fenced (Physical only) yard is required as well as another dog to show her how to be a dog. Sweet scared girl.
