Hello - My Name's Huckleberry

Age: 4 YO
Sex: Male
Size: 21-25 Pounds
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 2038
Just the Facts
12/19/19 home trial w/Hutchins 12/18/19 Huck seems to have developed some timidness with new things - not aggressive in any way, just running and hiding. He's loving and affectionate otherwise. His current foster is experiencing submission peeing/pooping at times also. This behavior is new to him so we're hoping he'll find a loving and patient home of his own soon. Our vet has suggested keeping him on Trazadone to help his anxiety issues. He will need ONLY A COCKER SAVY person...... Barb 12/6/2019 Huckleberry will be done with his heartworm treatment next week and is ready for adoption. Is it with you? Please fill out an application. And, if you have already filled out an application, please call Barb if you are still interested.
9/27/19 Huckleberry has been in a foster home for a few weeks and doing very well. He is extremely active, playing with the other youngsters in the house as well as his "stuffed baby". We are feeding him extra to hopefully get some muscle mass and weight on him before he undergoes his heartworm injections. Once these are started, his activity level will be severely reduced to leash walking, no running or jumping, to keep his heart rate down and prevent blood clots. We're hoping not to crate him but this may be necessary to keep him quiet. He's a great boy who loves attention. Please put your application in if you think he's a fit for your home./barb
8/25/2019 - New to Rescue. Huckleberry is a 4 yo buff with a full tail. Reportedly very nice and good with other dogs. He has tested positive for Heartworms. So, he will need treatment for that. He is still waiting for a foster home to open up, or a foster-to-adopt home.
