We are faced with a number of challenges in these times. In order to keep our volunteers safe and healthy and to comply with the Governor's executive orders and the recommendations of the CDC, we are implementing the following temporary procedures:

We are still accepting applications and doing the basic processing with the exception of physical home inspections. We will be asking for pictures, FaceTime or videos of homes. Most of our dogs cannot be spayed/neutered during this time. There will be no meet & greets until it is deemed safe and no dogs will be released for adoption at this time.

We cannot take in dogs during this time unless there is no other option available. We are aware of dogs in shelters but many shelters have closed their intake department with no way to pull a dog.

We appreciate your understanding as we travel through these difficult times.

Hello - My Name's Kooper - Cavalier

Age: 11 MO
Sex: Male
Size: 20 Pounds & Under
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
CCRID#: 2043
Just the Facts
1/11/2020 Stephanie Faiella has been fostering him. Her grl friend, Linda Campbell, has always wanted a cavalier but had to wait until her son was old enough to appreciate and care for a pet. Stephanie took him over to their house and they did fantastic...... a great match. Linda will keep vet care at Gahanna for a while since we know cockers/etc and him. She will come back for a 6-pk of HWP./barb 11/22/19 Kooper came into rescue a few months ago and has been under assessment. He is now ready for a forever home. That being said, he's VERY ACTIVE; he jumps against things in his excitement and eagerness for attention. He will REQUIRE a fenced yard (physical, not electric) and we recommend another puppy/dog to play with him. He is currently on a medication to help with his hyperactivity and focus - almost like he has ADHD !!!!! His new family will need to understand the breed and potential for medical issues later in life. There is lots of info on the internet so please do your research before applying for him. He is current on all vaccines, microchiped, neutered and on monthly Heartworm prevention./Barb
