We are faced with a number of challenges in these times. In order to keep our volunteers safe and healthy and to comply with the Governor's executive orders and the recommendations of the CDC, we are implementing the following temporary procedures:

We are still accepting applications and doing the basic processing with the exception of physical home inspections. We will be asking for pictures, FaceTime or videos of homes. Most of our dogs cannot be spayed/neutered during this time. There will be no meet & greets until it is deemed safe and no dogs will be released for adoption at this time.

We cannot take in dogs during this time unless there is no other option available. We are aware of dogs in shelters but many shelters have closed their intake department with no way to pull a dog.

We appreciate your understanding as we travel through these difficult times.

4/15/20 - Meet Sadie❤️

This sweetheart came into Rescue a few weeks ago as an owner surrender. This senior (12 YO) gal is blind. So, we wanted to give her a few weeks to settle in before sharing. Don’t let her disability scare you, she is learning to navigate with her nose and is fitting in well with her foster brothers and sisters.

from her foster mom: "Her ideal next home will have fewer stairs than we do (we do have more than the average home). She gets along well with other dogs even dogs that can be jerks. She has not shown any aggression at all. She is not a fan of getting her eye drops but eventually stops moving. She is not a fan of rain but most of my dogs aren’t either. She does tend to walk in circles. Sometimes paces in circles but that could be her learning the space. She loves to eat (we had to block off the garbage or anything she smells as potential food. ). She even knows how to open the dishwasher. While she might be blind, her noses does not fail her. She even did an egg hunt and found a few eggs her own by smell.“
