Your Donation REALLY DOES HELP!

SPECIAL NOTICE - Updated 6/12/20

Ohio has opened back up and adoptions have begun. We are working through the many applications that were in a holding pattern during the Governor's executive order as well as working through the new applications arriving daily. As the threat of this virus still exists, we are implementing the following procedures:

We will limit the number of physical home inspections and may request virtual inspections via pictures, FaceTime or videos.

There may be no public adoption events for the remainder of 2020. These have been the only opportunity to meet our dogs without submitting an application and becoming approved. If they do resume again, there will be safety measures in place that must be followed.

We will conduct private meet & greets only with approved applications and at the place of our choosing. We request that all people at the meet and greet wear a mask for the protection of our volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding of the 'new normal'.

Hello - My Name's Honey

Age: 10ish
Sex: Female
Size: 26-30 Pounds
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 2090

Just the Facts
9/17/20 Honey is doing well at the foster's home. She likes her crate and house training is doing great. Her mouth lesion no longer drools after antibiotics but will probably require more on an as-needed basis. She eats very well and gabapentin pain meds seem to help her jaw and Galliprant has improved her ambulation. While she naps within an hour of her pain meds, she is up and moving about more and more, and loves being outside. Her life span is totally unknown - anywhere from 6 months to years. She would benefit from someone who would be willing to take her into their home. Call for more information - 614-554-1300. 6/22/20 Honey was dumped from a car in the middle of an intersection in TN. A kind person picked her up and got her to a rescuer who eventually turned her over to New Destiny Dog Rescue and Columbus Cocker Rescue. Honey arrived in Columbus on 8/22/20 and was immediately examined by our vets. Copies from Shelbyville Animal Hospital records were provided for reference. She is a very kind soul who loves to be around everyone. Although her time is limited, she will receive all the medical and personal care she deserves. Donations for care can be made directly to Columbus Cocker Rescue or New Destiny Dog Rescue, Wartrace, TN.
