SPECIAL NOTICE - Updated 6/12/20

Ohio has opened back up and adoptions have begun. We are working through the many applications that were in a holding pattern during the Governor's executive order as well as working through the new applications arriving daily. As the threat of this virus still exists, we are implementing the following procedures:

We will limit the number of physical home inspections and may request virtual inspections via pictures, FaceTime or videos.

There may be no public adoption events for the remainder of 2020. These have been the only opportunity to meet our dogs without submitting an application and becoming approved. If they do resume again, there will be safety measures in place that must be followed.

We will conduct private meet & greets only with approved applications and at the place of our choosing. We request that all people at the meet and greet wear a mask for the protection of our volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding of the 'new normal'.

Hello - My Name's Harper

Age: 5 YO
Sex: Female
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 2103
Just the Facts
1/8/2021 - After pre-cataract operation testing @ OSU, it was decided that Harper is not adoptable at this time due to multiple medical issues - moving to permanent foster while evaluating with an update possibly later. 12/7/2020 (Updated 12/23/20) Harper was evaluated at Ophtho OSU for her eyes. She currently is being treated for an eye infection so cataract surgery is on hold until this clears up. She does have some sight though. An adopter in the local area is required due to her frequent upcoming OSU visits. We are currently evaluating her skin which shows "bumps" which have been determined to be dried, flakey skin. Frequent medicated baths and combings seem to be working. Followup exam will be completed soon. Feel free to contact us for more details (particularly regarding the post surgical followup required after cataract sx)./B 11/14/20 Arrived safely. Very nice girl but has severe skin issues as well as juvenile cataracts. She will be evaluated by OSU on 11/17/20. More information will be forthcoming. 11/11/2020 Harper is a 5 yo female with juvenile cataracts, coming soon from TN. We will need to get her into see ophthalmologist soon. She also reportedly has some spots of missing fur, so we will need to get that evaluated as well. Like both boys, she has a great disposition and is good with all.
