Your Donation REALLY DOES HELP!

SPECIAL NOTICE - Updated 6/12/20

Ohio has opened back up and adoptions have begun. We are working through the many applications that were in a holding pattern during the Governor's executive order as well as working through the new applications arriving daily. As the threat of this virus still exists, we are implementing the following procedures:

We will limit the number of physical home inspections and may request virtual inspections via pictures, FaceTime or videos.

There may be no public adoption events for the remainder of 2020. These have been the only opportunity to meet our dogs without submitting an application and becoming approved. If they do resume again, there will be safety measures in place that must be followed.

We will conduct private meet & greets only with approved applications and at the place of our choosing. We request that all people at the meet and greet wear a mask for the protection of our volunteers.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding of the 'new normal'.

Hello - My Name's Ollie

Age: 3 YO
Sex: Male
Size: 26-30 Pounds
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 2108

Just the Facts
1/29/2021 Ollie's cherry eye surgery is 2/1/2021. An ophthalmologst will examine his eyes to ensure sight is not impaired or there isn't any other medical issue related to his eyes. According to the foster, Ollie really needs another dog in the family to reinforce his confidence and house training. 1/14/2021 Ollie's foster mom says he is doing much better with potty training. He hasn't had any peeing accidents in weeks and just a couple of pooping accidents - when he got nervous about something. Ollie has warmed up to his foster family very well. 12/15/20 Ulcer is totally healed. Will schedule cherry eye surgery for after the new year d/t scheduling problems during the holidays. Drools when nervous/anxious so probably needs to be on Trazadone. According to the foster, he's doing better with noises and other normal household events. New people need to go slow with greeting him. Housetraining is a challenge so new home needs to be willing to work with him. /Barb 12/10/20 - Meet Ollie! He is a 3 YO with minor eye issues under treatment (Cherry eye and ulcer). Not house trained but good with the dog and ok with cat’s in foster home. The first few days in his foster home he acted very clingy. His medical is still being evaluated. (came from Madison Co HS) More to come!
