Hello - My Name's Chiquilin (now Chico)

Age: 2 years
Sex: Male
Size: Medium
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
CCRID#: 1125

Just the Facts
Hi my name is Chiquilin, but my foster family calls me Chiquie (Cheeky)! I am a unique colored cocker as I am mostly black with a bit of white but I have some silver in me too. If you look closely at my left eye, I have a bit of blue in it! They call this type of coloring, blue roan because of the silver in my coat. If you ask me, I am a handsome boy! I am an owner surrender which means my family turned me into the shelter (in this case a HIGH kill shelter). The rescue was told that the family was moving out of the country and couldn’t take me with them.

I am a very loving, affectionate boy who absolutely loves to cuddle and play! I get along great with my foster brothers and love to play with chew toys and squeaky balls. I am not destructive and know which toys are mine and which toys are yours! My bigger foster brother and I love to play with each other until we both are panting like crazy. Our favorite game is tug-of-war, which we use an un-stuffed animal toy. It is so much fun! So, if you have a bigger dog that is not a problem for me!

I love giving all of my humans love and affection by cuddling with them and giving them kisses. I make my foster mom laugh by cuddling up against her and laying my head on her shoulder. She always scratches my head and gives me a hug. I am crate trained and house broken. I do like to sleep in my crate at times and will do so if you are watching TV or even on the computer. I am a very mellow cocker and will do good just about anywhere. I also do well riding in cars and walking on a leash. While I am mostly around older kids (10 and up), I do really well at adoption events with the younger ones. Before coming into the rescue, I was living with 4 kids of various ages.

I hope to hear from you soon! Remember, all of the cockers with CCR are vet checked, on heartworm prevention, flea medicine, spayed/neutered and microchipped!

7/31/10 - Chiquie is currently on home trial with the Ulatowski family. Congrats Chiquie and good luck! **8/17/10 Chico is now an Ulatowski!
