1/26/2021 Tango is doing very well after his plate and pin surgery at Med Vet. He has neen on restricted exercise for 5-6 weeks and x-rays have been sent to Med Vet Dr. Barnhart for evaluation before being released to full activity. He loves to play and is quick to respond to commands. He’s doing very well with his “cage aggressiveness” he first had – most of this was fear-based as he was good once out. He does not like anyone touching his food bowl once in his crate and will attack the cage door if another pet wanders close by. For this reason, we are suggesting he be fed in a gated area alone. He seems to be good with other dogs but cats and children under 10-12 are unknown. We probably would not recommend placing him in a home with children under 12 due to his high-strung nature. A local foster/adopter with a fenced yard is still required./Barb
12/15/2020 – Tango is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. A local foster/adopter is needed during his recovery. 12/11/2020 Meet Tango! He was hit by a car and taken to a vet office in Kentucky. A supporter of our rescue asked if we could take him into rescue. Of course the answer was yes! He will need extensive surgery to repair his broken bones and will need a plate inserted. This will require surgery at a specialized hospital, most likely Medvet. He is due to arrive in Columbus today.
