Meet Ruby,
UPDATE:
Foster Mom: Ruby can be very fearful and will run to me and then the next moment run away. I still need to leash her to go outside and she is definitely not housetrained. Have had difficulties getting her to eat.
Fence required. She needs a quiet home with a family who has previous experience with puppy mill dogs who need to learn to trust. Good with dogs & cats. Recommend that home have a confident dog to help her. Older children only.
Ruby is a very friendly active 8 year old red cockalier (cocker/cavalier). She was part of an Amish release and was adopted out by the shelter but returned because she sheds. She is spayed & vetted and rides wonderfully in a car. She seems to love everyone. A fence is recommended but not required. As she is spayed, we will consider all applications, not just local provided you are amenable to driving to our location outside Columbus Ohio.
