5/5/19 Doing well after enucleations at Joyce’s home.
11/4/18 Abbie came from the Kanawha-Charleston HS in WV as a stray with what appeared to be severe glaucoma in both eyes. The HS removed one eye but felt the other needed evaluation and/or medication to control her pressure if that was the final diagnosis. Shortly after coming to rescue, it was determined that her remaining eye was very painful and needed to be removed as medications were not controlling the pressure and subsequent pain. After a bit of time, Abbie has finally adjusted to her blindness without pain. She is currently in a foster home who reports she has adjusted to her home and is doing wonderfully, loving to cuddle. If you’d like to give her a forever home, please complete an application!!!!
