Meet Sybil!
01/09/2023 UPDATE – Sybil is doing well in her foster home. She has turned into a little go-getter. Although she sometimes lifts her head as if she heard something, most of the time her foster mom does not hear anything. She also sometime arbitrarily barks at something. Maybe she hears and sees things the rest of us don’t. 🙂 She seems to be able to see bright light. Maybe some shapes. It is really hard to tell. Sybil maneuvers the house pretty well. She can walk up the stairs but going down is dangerous because whenever she tries, she ends up falling. The cats aren’t thrilled about her because they hiss and growl at her – just for being there – and she of course doesn’t notice/doesn’t respond. She still potties in the house and I am still trying to work out how to change that. It will simply take more patience.
Overall, she follows her “emotional support dog” Archie around. she nows exactly when he walks by her and she follows him lie a little mini me.
12/10/2022 – UPDATE – entered foster home with Andrea. Sybil is extremely scared and and didn’t even allow herself to sleep for the first several hours. In spite of being on Trazodone. Once she discovered the other dog in the house, she calmed down and started sleeping with her new “emotional support dog”.
12/06/2022 – Sybil is one of 5 Amish breeder dogs that were turned over to rescue. Not much known about her yet, except she is small and unfortunately a double merle and blind and deaf. She needs a foster to teach her how to be a loved family member.
